Kabel Kiosk Bouquet

Playout247 have launched 7 new channels across Europe on the Kabel Kiosk platform in partnership with MME (Music Media Enterprises).

The USA content, with subtitles, covers a wide range of interests including Electronic Games, Finance and Religion with each channel focusing on one of the subjects. A further 4 channels will be added to the bouquet in the next few weeks and work to provide distribution via fibre to Skandinavia will be completed.

The schedules and subtitles, created in the USA and Netherlands respectively, are delivered by FTP on the internet, as are the media files, while the signal is delivered to cable head ends as MPEG2 over IP thus minimising the hardware costs associated with monitoring and redirecting.

All in all, an elegant solution from Playout247 providing a flexible and cost effective delivery platform.

Henk van Meer, Director of MME Europe said: “We see a high demand for all our TV content from European audience. We've chosen Playout247 for our European playout/channel delivery expansion because Playout247 is a leading provider of automated networked broadcast transmission services for all types of broadcasting: Satellite, Cable and Internet. With many years of experience in the development of broadcasting centres Playout247 enables us to reach numerous cable and rebroadcast stations, and cellular sites in the region.”
