BSkyB EPG Publishing Services
Uploading of EPG data to BSkyB’s Broadcast Control Server where the client is responsible for the accuracy of all information including spelling, grammar and genre classification.
EPG schedule information is due 16 days ahead of transmission.
Ofcom Compliance Recording (server based, last 3 months)
Monitoring recording system which stores the last 3 months of broadcast material recorded as 1 hour files suitable for OFCOM review. Media is stored on a rolling 3 months basis.
1+1 Redundancy Back-up Playout
This option provides a second server dedicated to the channel which carries a mirrored schedule and media. The first playout server is monitored by the system and in the unlikely event of failure the redundant server immediately switches in.
Dynamic Text and Graphic Server
Info Channel type text and graphics can be used in a number of ways and can provide a dynamic financial, sports, weather etc. news display with animations, tickers and slides windows configured at any size and screen position. Content updates from various remote sources including the internet are supported. It can also be used to display SMS text messages. All features can be controlled and configured remotely.
