DIGITAL CONTENT DELIVERY
Digital Traffic is connected to a global private fibre network designed to facilitate secure distribution of media content. Most major Hollywood studios are already connected and the list of content providers is growing continually. This enables us to receive very high bit rate master copies of content (typically in 50-I format) rapidly – typically in less than 1 hour.
TRANSCODING
Digital Traffic operates a highly automated transcoding process supporting multiple encoder types and codecs. We customise our encoding to the specific requirements of a platform and go through rigorous technical QC to ensure that all files are compliant. Final pass through delivery can be via any encoder required and we currently have all professional MPEG-2, H.264, VC1, WM9 and Flash encoders available.
STORAGE
All masters and files are stored securely within our own purpose-built data centre offering off-site back-up facility to TV platforms.
CONTENT OWNER REQUIREMENTS
Many content owners wish to move to a tapeless delivery system. Digital Traffic can help you meet this requirement.
METADATA
We manage all meta-data requirements as required, from supplier to DTH platform, seamlessly converted into format as specified by the platform operator.
EDITING REQUIREMENTS
Promos or full program content editing may be required. We will trans-code from the digital master to any required file format for ingest to post production suites like Avid or FCP.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
All encoded content is thoroughly checked by our quality assurance team. They use professional QA booths which are audio and daylight isolated and equipped with grade-1 CRT monitors and waveform/vectorscope analysers. A rigorous compliance service is also available if required, with trained staff meeting all regulatory regimes.
CONTENT DELIVERY
Platform-ready content assets and associated meta-data are delivered to platform servers or head-ends through secure digital delivery.
